Wagaman Primary School is a small urban school located in the northern suburbs of Darwin. We have an enrolment of approximately 300 students from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. Approximately 58 per cent of students come from English as a Second Language backgrounds, and approximately 25% of students are Indigenous.

To meet the needs of the wide range of students, we have initiated and developed a number of innovative educational programs. We actively promote a sense of community and belonging through Tribes Learning Communities and the implementation of the Kids Matter framework. These programs underpin our positive culture. These blend the fields of co-operative learning, resilience, learning theory and school change into a meaningful whole. Wagaman Primary School prides itself on maximising the physical environment to build pride in the shared facility.
