We value strong partnerships between home and school.

At Wagaman Primary School, we warmly welcome families to be active partners in their child’s learning. There are many opportunities for parents and carers to participate and volunteer, both within classrooms and during whole-school events. Your involvement strengthens our community and has a positive impact on student engagement, confidence and achievement.

We encourage families to play an active role in school governance.

The Wagaman School Council meets monthly and provides parents with a valuable opportunity to contribute to the governance and strategic direction of our school. Becoming a member is a meaningful way to support our community and have a voice in school planning and decision making.

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in February or March each year. Please keep an eye on our school newsletter for the confirmed date. At the AGM, the School Council is formed and executive officers are elected.

We promote open, respectful and timely communication with families.

We encourage open communication between parents and teachers. Our teachers are always happy to talk with families about their child’s learning and wellbeing. To ensure minimal disruption to classroom learning, we ask that parents be mindful that teachers are focused on students during lesson times. Parents are welcome to make an appointment to meet with teachers at a mutually convenient time.

Xuno is our primary platform for whole-school communication. Families can access important announcements, student reports and messages from the school. We encourage all parents to download the Xuno app or log in via the website to stay informed.

School newsletters are emailed through Xuno every each fortnight. You can also view our newsletters online. Class newsletters are sent by teachers within the first two weeks of each term to share important information about learning and routines.
