Excursions
Students at Wagaman Primary School have many opportunities to participate in a variety of excursions across Darwin and Palmerston.
Excursions include viewing shows at the Darwin Entertainment Centre and exhibitions at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. Our Year 5 and 6 students have regular excursions to Dripstone Middle School and participate in sporting events at the Mararra Sporting Complex.
Our school has its own bus which helps to ensure that our students have access to learning opportunities outside of our school.
Batchelor Outdoor Education Centre
Every even year, our Year 3 and 4 students attend Batchelor Outdoor Education Centre.
Students have the opportunity to participate in high ropes, rock climbing, flying fox, orienteering, archery and bird watching.
These adventurous activities challenge students in a safe environment. It gives students an opportunity to demonstrate courage, persistence and determination.
Katherine Camp
Every odd year, our Year 5 and 6 students have the opportunity to travel to Katherine for a 3 day camp.
Students engage with a diverse range of cultural learning experiences and visit a number of significant sites including including Pine Creek, Adelaide River, Nitmuluk and Cutta Cutta Caves.
This is a fabulous experience and one many Wagaman Primary School students look forward to throughout their primary school years.
